FINISHING SCHOOL: CAREER COUNSELLING AND PLACEMENT CELL

Overview

Finishing School acts as an interface between the students and prospective employers. The University realizes that long-term sustainability of relationship with employers for training and placement of students can only be achieved by grooming the students with the right kind of skill-set required for becoming successful employees or entrepreneurs. In this context, the needs of industry are assessed on a continuous basis and inputs provided to concerned departments in the form of internal feedback or through interaction with alumni as well as senior delegates from industry/premier educational and research institutions. The Finishing School provides a central platform for honing the skills of students. A high degree of responsiveness in working is maintained through dedicated human efforts, coupled with application of information technology.

Director's Message

I feel privileged and honoured to get an opportunity to serve as the Placement Director of Punjabi University, Patiala which is among the premier institutions of higher learning. It is one of the most esteemed universities in Punjab where we promised all possible support to the students and their parents and pray for their well-being and success. Punjabi University, Patiala has perpetuated an admirable record for academic contribution towards achieving excellence in building enviable organizations & a stupendous society. The teachers here respect their duties and are always keen to support and impart knowledge to the students and nurture their skill set to make them asset for the organisations. The students here are always welcomed with their innovations and new technologies where they are also awarded and we are honored to have such cream in our university. The compatibility of this university is hard because of the past achievements by our alumni and the selection of their talent by major companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Rolls Royce, Infosys, Larsen and Turbo, HDFC Bank, ICICI, SBI MF, etc. We always welcome from the core of our hearts to the new bees who want to learn in the way our previous students learned.
